01 — Company
A practice built around
the work of documentation.
Sablehearth is a Bangkok-based operational consulting practice. We run structured engagements with leadership teams who want clearer records, clearer charters, and a more considered operating rhythm.
Back to Home02 — Our Story
How Sablehearth came to be
Sablehearth started from a fairly straightforward observation: many well-run businesses in Bangkok had reached a size where informal coordination was no longer quite enough. Decisions were being made and then quietly forgotten. Departments were growing in directions that occasionally surprised one another. Leadership meetings were happening regularly, but the outputs of those meetings were not being documented in any consistent way.
The founding team had worked across a range of industries — manufacturing supply chains, professional services, retail operations — and kept finding the same gap. Not a lack of competence. Not a lack of effort. Just a gap in structured documentation and shared operational vocabulary.
The practice was set up to fill that gap in a specific, bounded way. Rather than broad management consulting engagements with large teams and sprawling deliverables, Sablehearth runs a small number of fixed-scope engagements: a decision log setup, a department charter, an operating embedding. Each one produces a document the client owns. Each one has a clear end.
The name refers to steadiness and warmth — qualities we try to carry into every working session. The work can feel exposing; it involves surfacing assumptions and making implicit things explicit. We try to hold that process carefully, without rushing it.
03 — Mission
What we are here to do
Mission
To support leadership teams in building operating structure that is genuinely theirs — documented clearly, maintained without dependency on a consultant, and scaled to the actual size and complexity of the business.
Approach
Every engagement is led by a single consultant. Every deliverable is owned by the client. The work is facilitation and documentation only — no regulated advice, no ongoing retainer dependency, no ambiguity about what is included in the scope.
04 — Team
The people behind the work
Nontapat Thirawat
Lead Consultant
Nontapat has spent twelve years supporting operations teams across Thailand and Singapore. He leads the decision log and charter engagements and facilitates the majority of working sessions.
Siriporn Ratanaporn
Engagement Manager
Siriporn manages the planning and scheduling of all engagements, liaises with client teams before each session, and reviews all draft documents before they are shared with clients.
Prayut Kanchanasak
Associate Consultant
Prayut supports the ten-week operating embedding engagements, taking working notes during meetings and producing the first drafts of operating documents for consultant review.
05 — Standards
How we conduct the work
Documented scope
Every engagement begins with a signed engagement letter that defines the scope, timeline, deliverables, and fees. Nothing proceeds without written agreement on all four.
Confidentiality as standard
A non-disclosure agreement is included in every engagement letter. Working materials, session content, and all draft documents are kept strictly confidential and never referenced externally.
Single-consultant continuity
Each engagement is led by the same named consultant throughout. Clients do not need to re-brief new people mid-way through. The named consultant is confirmed before the engagement begins.
Client-owned deliverables
All documents produced during an engagement — logs, charters, reflection notes — are owned by the client and delivered in editable formats. No content is withheld or licensed back.
Non-regulated scope
Sablehearth's work is operational consulting only — facilitation and documentation. It does not include financial advice, legal counsel, or any licensed professional service. This keeps the scope clear and appropriate.
Data handling
Personal data shared in the course of an engagement is handled in line with Thailand's PDPA requirements. Data is collected only as needed, retained only as long as necessary, and never shared with third parties.
06 — Our Work
Operational consulting in practice
Most businesses in Bangkok that reach a team size of twenty or thirty people find themselves managing a level of operational complexity that informal coordination was never designed to handle. Decisions accumulate without records. Departments drift past one another. Leadership meetings become largely performative — held regularly, but leaving little trace.
The work Sablehearth does is narrow and specific. It is not strategy consulting, not change management, not organisational development in the broader sense. It is documentation work: helping leadership teams build tidy, maintained records of how the business makes decisions and how its departments are organised. The documents are simple. The process of creating them is where the value lies.
Facilitated working sessions tend to surface disagreements and assumptions that have been quietly accumulating for some time. A charter workshop, for instance, will often reveal that two members of a department leadership team have held different understandings of that department's boundaries for years — not through carelessness, but because the question had simply never been put directly. The act of drafting the charter forces the question.
This is why the engagements are structured the way they are. They are not consulting in the sense of advice-giving. They are structured facilitation and drafting. The consultant creates the conditions for the leadership team to make explicit what has been implicit, and then documents what they agree on.
